Week 3 of the WCGTR2 Rfactor league using the (Série Internationale Du Mans), ILMS mod, is in the books, and judging by the comments in the forums there is a lot of buzz surrounding this series and the great battles in the GT1 and GT2 classes. If you aren't sure about Rfactor as a SERIOUS racing sim. You should get it just to race this mod!!! Whew, that was a mouthful… Now for a quick recap of the action…

Season opener – Sebring recap…
Round 1 on the ILMS series travelled to Florida, to race at Sebring International Raceway, this is the oldest permanent road course in North America… In the early practice sessions it looked as if PokerPro made a strong statement as the driver to beat for this event, as he set a blistering pace in the Saleen S7R… This turned out to be confirmed as he set 3 of the 5 fastest lap times en-route to the victory… there was quite a battle as the top 5 finishers were separated by a mere 20 seconds.
The podium finishers were 1) PokerPro 2) Tcxgarcia 3) Bruno Ferrari… I have to give Ronnie Suarez an honorable mention for starting from pole position in this race…

Round 2 – Long Beach...
Miguel has already done an excellent job at giving us a recap, but I have dual honorable mentions for PokerPro and Lalo Rosas, for the battle in qualifying for the pole, posting lap times in the 1:10 range …

Round 3 – Cleveland (Burke Lakefront Airport)…
The series travelled to Cleveland, Ohio and Burke Lakefront Airport, for the 3rd event of the season and the second to include GT1 and GT2 classes... This was going to be an interesting race, as to this temporary airport offered very wide areas to pass, as well as s high speed corners to take advantage of. This race was a blast from start to finish… Once again PokerPro threw down the gauntlet as the driver to beat in GT1 and Maribel Medina for the GT2 class. There was some early lap chaos, but after that everybody seemed to settle into their race pace and there were mini battles all over the tarmac. Great race drivers… Congratulations to PokerPro, [APS] Joe Maters and Hernan Gonzalez as the top 3 finishers in the GT1 class. Andres Prieto, Aldo Villamil, and Ramiro Castañeda, take the podium for the GT2 class.

Season 2 moves on, with Sebring behind, we can clearly see, that the incorporation of the GT2 for long Beach was a blast, this second race was a test of this two categories racing at the same time, it went out pretty well, with some incidents by some drivers, the overall of the race was plenty of fun. Even though some drivers lost connection at the very first laps, the ones how stayed on track had a very fun a competitive race. 24 drivers show up, at Long Beach, 9 of them were GT1 and the rest were GT2´s, the new qualy system was pretty good the GT1 stayed in pits while GT2 where out there, the same happened when GT1 went for Qualy.

So… my dear drivers, please pay attention on the warnings that the ADM gave, cause there are several drivers with penalties, an many of them where because of the pit lane cross, and driving on the other drivers pit crew spot, so next race when you enter and exit the pit stop please pay attention on those little aspects!!! In that way you won’t get penalized……

So... That’s it for now, let’s sees what Cleveland brings us for the 3 race of the season ILMS Mod, greetings and stayed tune for more Report news….

A lot of action in this third race of the season, after a hard battle for pole position, Race one start with an accident on T1, involving several drivers and making others taking some value positions, the race was getting more and more interesting, when the drivers involve in the incident start to climb up, all the way to the podium, but the sad story is from Esteban Palacio, who’s connection went off in lap 7, he was doing and amazing job in the front ( SORRY MATE NEXT TIME!), at the end of race one after several battles in the front and in the middle field, Eric Marecki took the first place, followed by Jeff Gordon and Claudio Lopez, the Highlight of the race was the mistake that Ramiro C did 1 lap before the race was over, that cause him loose several positions and letting, Pichy Campos, Ski9600 and CarlosMartel8 move up on the grid.

On Race 2 the first place went to Claudio Lopez after doing an amazing, the podium completes with Eric Marecki on second place and CarlosMartel8 in third place, this time the Start was way better than Race 1, no incidents on T1 and stay like that most time of the race, Great Job guys!!!!!!

So after Curitiba’s race the leader on the championship is Claudio Lopez, on the independent Champ, the leader is SKi9600….. Let’s see what brings Puebla to this fun and competitive Championship…
